Ideye wins Super League with Olympiacos.
Super Eagles’ striker Brown Ideye is delighted to have won the 2015/2016 league title in Greece with his club Olympiacos. The 27-year-old was on target as Olympiacos claimed their 43rd Greek championship title with a 5-0 bashing of AEL Kalloni FC at Karaiskakis Stadium on Sunday, April 17. The former West Brom striker expressed joy on his twitter handle where he thanked his fans for all their support all through the season.
Ideye tweeted: “A big thank you to all who have supported us through this journey. We are champions.
The Nigerian who has earned 24 caps in the Super League this season, got his 10th league goal of the season when he netted his side’s fifth of the encounter. Recall that the former Dynamo Kiev forward was part of Nigeria’s Super Eagles team that won the African Nations Cup in 2013 under the tutelage of former team coach, Stephen Keshi.
“Great and emotional day for me. The last time I felt this way was at AFCON 2013. So Excited! 1st league win in my career,” he added.
